Jerk is an exercise, the essence of which is to lift the barbell from the platform (floor, ground) above your head. At the same time, it is worth noting that the arms and legs must be straightened.

Weight is considered counted if it was held in a standing position with straight arms above your head for a certain time.

So, let's take a step-by-step jerk:

  1. Start - the athlete sits down in front of the barbell and holds the bar bar wide.
  2. Deadlift - the athlete lifts the barbell above the knees.

  3. Undermining - the athlete aligns his back, almost jumping up.
  4. Leaving - while the bar is moving up, the athlete sharply crouches, holding the bar on straight arms.
  5. Lifting - From the previous position, the athlete straightens his legs and assumes a standing position.
  6. Locking the boom.

Pull

This exercise includes two different movements.

  1. The athlete lifts the barbell off the floor (platform) and puts it on his chest, crouching at the same time. Then straightens the legs.

  2. The athlete crouches a little, straightening his arms with the barbell, while spreading his legs either sideways or forward and backward. And finally, he straightens his legs, placing his feet in parallel, holding the bar exactly above his head in straight arms.
