On August 30, Swissultra DECA, the stage of the World Cup in ultratriathlon, held under the auspices of the international association IUTA, ended in Swiss Bucks. For the first time in history, two Russians took part in the race. Vladimir Matveev from Ivanovo took seventh place in the tenfold non-stop triathlon DECA Continuous (38 km swimming, 1,800 km bicycle and 422 km running), finishing in 239 hours 36 minutes and 9 seconds.
In the DECA One 13er day race (10 full "iron" distances - 3.8 km swimming, 180 km bicycle, 42.
4 km running - 10 days), the businessman and co-founder IRONSTAR and ROSA RUN projects Vladimir Voloshin. Its result is 131 hours and 36 seconds.
Within the framework of Swissultra DECA 2018, Vladimir together with Rusfond raised money to help sick children. These funds were enough for the operation of three children - eight-month-old Arseny Parfyonov, four-month-old Edik Balagyozyan and four-year-old Sabina Gilmitdinova.
