42% of men and 27% of women believe that inequality between the sexes and sexual harassment at work is not relevant for Russia. And only 24% recognize the existence of such a problem and consider it important.
In the all-Russian survey “Attitude of Russians to Feminism and Gender Inequality”, conducted by Mikhailov & Partners. Analytics, 1 792 people. As it turned out, only 17% of respondents consider the issue of harassment relevant for Russia.
Only 36% of respondents support women who were not afraid to publicly report cases of sexual harassment at work. Another 40% of respondents believe that the problem should not be made public.
Most of the respondents (70%) approve the situation when women earn more than men. But at the same time, only 31% of the respondents are ready to accept the choice of women who have concentrated their attention on work.
48% of respondents believe that building a career is equally difficult for both men and women.
38% are sure that it is more difficult for women to succeed, and 9% - which is easier. Only 4% of those surveyed supported employers who refuse to hire women because they may be on maternity leave. 43% of respondents condemned such actions of employers, 52% reacted to this neutrally.
Most of the respondents have a positive attitude towards men who are willing to take on homework affairs (85%) or even go on parental leave (63%). At the same time, only 1% of Russians believe that the main thing in the family should be a woman, and 24% supported the leadership of men.
Another 73% of respondents are sure that partners in the family should have equal rights.
At the same time, Levada Center published a study, according to which 47% of Russians surveyed said that gays and lesbians should have the same rights as all other citizens of the country. This is the highest figure in the last 14 years of research.
