Russian doctors will be able to write electronic prescriptions

The document on electronic recipes was signed on March 29 and entered into force ten days later. According to the order of the Ministry of Health, the electronic prescription must contain the name of the medical organization and other data approved in the All-Russian Classifier of Administrative Territorial Subdivisions (OKATO).

Now the prescriptions can be written out either on paper or in the form of an electronic document certified by the electronic signature of the doctor.

But in order for patients to start using electronic prescriptions, you need to debug the system for receiving electronic prescriptions in pharmacies. “A synchronized system of data transmission from medical institutions to pharmacies should be created, including a system for tracking drug circulation.

I think this is a matter of the very near future. Our digital technologies are developing very fast,” pharmacist Orest Ibragimov, a medical doctor, told Rossiyskaya Gazeta .

"All over the world they work with electronic prescriptions. As a rule, polyclinics or hospitals immediately transfer the prescription to pharmacies located in the medical institutions themselves or nearby. And the patient gets medicines on the way home.

If you want to go around pharmacies and compare prices, an online prescription can be recorded on a USB flash drive, "emphasizes Larisa Popovich, director of the Institute for Health Economics of NRU Higher School of Economics.

The Ministry of Health introduced electronic prescriptions in the framework of the national project "Health Care". It is planned that by 2021, 820 thousand jobs of medical workers will be automated, reports TASS.
