Cooking process

  1. Peel the carrots and trim the ends.

  2. Put the carrots in a pot of water, bring to a boil and cook for about 10 minutes, until tender, but not until fully cooked (this can be checked with a fork).
  3. Meanwhile, cook the marinade. Combine soy sauce, honey, mustard and spices in a separate bowl and beat well with a fork or whisk.
  4. Drain the pan and let the carrots cool a little. Then, with a fork, make several punctures on each root crop, so that they are better pickled.

  5. Put the carrots in a container or bag and pour the marinade. Pickle carrots for at least 2 hours or leave them overnight.
  6. When the carrots are ready, fry each in a grill pan with a little oil.
  7. Preheat hot dog buns, cut and place in each carrot.
  8. Serve hot dogs as usual with ketchup and mustard, or add vegetables and greens to taste.
