Our choice: adidas Pulseboost HD asphalt sneakers

Sneakers are a very individual part of running equipment: what is important is what speed you run on, on which surface, how often, what pronation you have ( way to set the foot on the ground), what types of running training are in your schedule. Over time, you understand which shoe models are right for you: soft or hard, with or without support. For five years of running, I managed to train in a dozen different models of sneakers. And among them there were no adidas! I realized that I had to catch up, so I took the test new running shoes adidas Pulseboost HD. I ran several asphalt and stadium trainings in them and share my impressions.

The sneakers are soft and comfortable. The top is made of breathable Ada47t Knit knit fabric. If you, like me, love knit-top sneakers, you'll definitely love Pulseboost HD. One of the main indicators of comfort - while running in these sneakers, the legs are not hot. I ran to summer Moscow’s +15 degrees, but I’m sure that the material will behave just as well in the heat.

A soft sneaker fits your foot and ankle like a tight toe. Out of habit, I didn’t immediately succeed in putting on a sneaker, but she sat down beautifully. My usual size of 9.5 US turned out to be slightly loose, but running shoes for medium and long distances should not be close.

In perfect sneakers, you can go for a run and go to a party after the race.

The Pulseboost HD gray and coral color looks fresh and will suit any summer outfit.

The main feature of the Boost family is the soft foam outsole for better cushioning. Pulseboost HD has a lot of foam in the heel of the sneakers, while the front is rather thin. I taught myself to run from the toe, so at first I had the feeling that you were running barefoot (most likely, I was just used to the solid soles of Hoka One One and Asics). It turns out that thin foam has advantages: you can better control the surface under your feet, which means it’s more accurate to push off and land.

Less energy is spent to “feel” the surface and make a push. If you run from the heel, then the foam at the back of the sneakers is enough for good cushioning. Lacing ends lower than in other models, you also need to get used to it.

Sole Pulseboost HD, like many other models of the brand made using Continental rubber. She is responsible for a good grip.

Short spikes are located throughout the sole for greater stability. Often, sneakers slip on the wet pavement or rubber track of the stadium - this did not happen with Pulseboost HD.

Neutral pronation makes these running shoes affordable for most joggers. I am not a speed runner at all, but these sneakers have a great potential for speed. In my opinion, they will work best with runners whose speed is 5 minutes per kilometer or higher.

I liked how the sneakers behave during accelerations of 3: 50-4: 20 minutes per kilometer. By the way, Pulseboost HD weigh a lot: 297 grams of the right shoe and 290 grams of the left. But if you are not Eliud Kipchoge, who is critical of any extra gram, weight will not be a problem.

Knitted patterns have problems fixing the heel. Here the heel is well fixed, this, in turn, protects against injuries.

The difference between the heel and the toe is 8 millimeters, as in most universal models.

adidas Pulseboost HD is suitable for continuing runners who have already run a certain amount and now want to develop speed and practice the technique. Sneakers show themselves well in cross-country and at high-speed segments. Small spikes on the sole perfectly cling to the asphalt and the rubber coating of the stadium, and optimal cushioning provides comfort for five to ten kilometer runs. The cost of the pair is

10,999 rubles.
