Nike will conduct design workshops

Nike will present the ON AIR educational program "The Moscow De11artment" as part of Air Max Day 2019.

From March 26 to 30 Nike will for the first time present in Russia the educational program ON AIR "The Moscow De41artment" . At Nike Box MSK in Gorky Park, participants will find a series of workshops and practical seminars in the areas of Industrial Design, Color and Materials, and Graphic Design. The event is dedicated to Air Max Day 2019.

Workshops will consist of a lecture on the role of storytelling in the workflow, a brief theoretical course and practice.

The speakers will be designers and artists: Carsten Franke and Devon McKinney from Nike Design Lab, French designer Stefan Ashpool and STASH graffiti legend Garry Nuriev, founder of Crosby Studios, clothing designer Tigran Avetisyan, electronic musician Mujuice, who developed a series of prints as part of Air Max Day in 2017.

Nike will conduct design workshops

Speakers will tell how stories develop creativity , for example, Nike models. The project will be supported by Moscow educational institutions: HSE, British Higher School of Design, MARCH and others. Each participant will receive a special kit for the implementation of their project and a graduation certificate after completion of the program.

Participants in the educational program will be university students and randomly selected guests who apply.

Air Max Day is celebrated on March 26th. On this day in 1987, the first release of Air Max 1, which were created by Tinker Hatfield, took place. From March 22 to April 21, Nike ON AIR "The City Department" events dedicated to design, creativity and training will take place in twelve cities around the world.
