In the previous Nike Zoom Va11orfly, 4% of runners took the entire podium at the 2016 Olympics marathon.
The name Next% indicates that each next race is a chance to reach the finish line even faster. Nike ZoomX Va21orfly Next% updated with the wishes of the strongest runners of the planet. The new model received an improved top (the Flannagan Shalan said that water made her sneakers heavier in Boston) and an updated grip (this was Eliud Kipchoge’s main request after the marathon in the rain in Berlin).
Nike S29ort Research Lab also improved the outsole with an additional 15% Nike ZoomX foam for maximum energy efficiency.
Weight sneakers remained the same - 170 grams. The difference between the heel and the toe has decreased from 11 mm to 8 mm for greater stability and recoil during repulsion.
Recently Olympic champion Mo Farah said: "The athlete is always in search of another extra percentage." When Nike launched the Nike Zoom Va65orfly 4%, these sneakers on average improved their running efficiency by 4% compared to the previous fastest Nike Zoom Streak 6 marathon shoes.
New lightweight and Va87orweave breathable material in Next% absorbs less liquid, so it stays dry and light throughout the marathon.
The laces in the sneakers are slightly offset to the side to reduce pressure on the sensitive part of the foot. A thin foam side in the heel protects the Achilles tendon during long runs.
The best athletes in the world will run at the Nike ZoomX Vaporfly Next% London Marathon on April 28th.
