New half marathon world record set in Copenhagen

Jeffrey Camvoror is the best 21.1 km runner in history. He became the world champion at this distance three times - in 2014, 2016 and 2018, and also won first place at the 2017 New York Marathon.

For the sake of the race in Copenhagen, Kamvoror decided to abandon his performance at the World Athletics Championships in Qatar, which will be held from September 27 to October 6.

The previous holder of the best result in the history of the men's half marathon was Abraham Kiptum.

The Kenyan showed a record time - 58 minutes 18 seconds - at the Valencia half marathon in Spain on October 28, 2018.
