KamAZ team again became the best in the Dakar rally

The forty-first Dakar rally marathon was held in Peru from January 6 to 17. The competition was held in five counts: motorcycles, ATVs, SUVs, SxS all-terrain vehicles and trucks. In total, 334 participants and crew went to the start.

In the truck standings, the first two places belong to the Russians from the KamAZ team. The best crew for the third time in a row was Eduard Nikolaev, the second place went to Dmitry Sotnikov, the third - to the Dutchman Gerard de Roy from the Iveco team.

In the motocross, the winners were Toby Price (Australia, KTM), Matthias Walkner (Austria, KTM) ) and Sam Sunderland (UK, KTM). At the 63rd place in the race, Russian Anastasia Nifontova finished, who became the first woman in history who independently passed the distance in the Original by Motul category (her participants do not use the services of mechanics).

In the ATV class, the whole pedestal is for the Argentines from the Yamaha team: Nicolas Cavigliasso, Jeremias González Ferioli and Gustavo Gallego. In the standings of off-road vehicles, Nasser Al-Attiyah (Qatar, Toyota) won, second place went to Joan Nani Roma (Spain, Mini), and third was Sebastian Loeb (France, Peugeot).

In the SxS all-terrain vehicle category, all the prizes went to athletes from the same team - Kan-Am.

The first is Chilean Francisco Lopez Contardo, the second is Spaniard Gerard Ferres Gel, the third is Brazilian Reynaldo Varela. The crew of Russian Sergey Karjakin finished in tenth place.
