Do you have at least one non-stick pan or pan in the kitchen? Then you should read this article (and if not, read it anyway). We figure out whether the non-stick coating is so safe, as they say in the advertisement, and explain why ceramics are better than Teflon.
Non-stick cookware is very popular - it can be cooked without oil, it is easier to remove cooked food from it and it is easier to wash after use. Most non-stick pots and pans are coated with polytetrafluoroethylene - aka Teflon. This is the most inexpensive of non-stick materials, so it is in great demand.
But advanced adherents of a healthy lifestyle have a few complaints about it.

The first drawback of Teflon is that it can exfoliate and enter food. Although small particles are invisible in the finished dish, and a single ingestion into the body will not cause special problems, you probably heard that it is better to immediately throw away dishes with damaged Teflon surfaces. So it is: the broken integrity of the material is dangerous because a person can swallow pieces of the coating.
The presence of polytetrafluoroethylene in the body for a long time in the long term can be harmful to health.
Previously, perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), a potential carcinogen, was used in the manufacture of teflon cookware. Gradually, companies began to abandon this substance, and now it is difficult to find carcinogenic dishes on store shelves. But it’s still worth checking the composition of the material before buying.
The main problem of Teflon is that at temperatures above 200 degrees Celsius (an empty frying pan at maximum heat heats up to 200 degrees in just a couple of minutes) he begins to secrete unhealthy vapors. They can cause a cold-like symptom in people: weakness, dizziness, chills. And if you are going to have a parrot or a canary, keep in mind: such pairs are deadly for birds. Therefore, it is better to get rid of Teflon cookware and not put a cage in the kitchen.
Instead of Teflon dishes, choose ceramic. Ceramics do not emit any harmful compounds when heated. Manufacturers of ceramic dishes recommend cooking at low and medium temperatures, otherwise it will wear out faster.

Do not save.
Quality dishes can’t be cheap. Do not buy dishes in markets or in questionable stores.
Choose ceramics. Such dishes are not only safe, but also look stylish.
Do not use metal appliances.
Eating from a pan is always tastier, but metal forks and knives spoil the non-stick surface. If you want to cut the dish, remove it from the pan or pan and cut it on the board. Use special blades with plastic tips or wooden appliances.
Replace damaged dishes in time. A dish with deep scratches or chips is definitely worth throwing out and buying a new one.
