I do not want to work: how to make the first days after the holidays more pleasant in the office

It’s always a little sad to remove decorations from the desktop and disassemble the Christmas tree. It is not necessary to do this on the first working day. Magic can be extended for another week (or even two): print photos from the holidays and keep them in a prominent place or paste them into a diary. Take with you to the office a useful gift that you received for the New Year - it can be a thermomug or an organizer for an office stationery.

Tell your colleagues how you spent your holidays and listen to their stories.

This is best done with a cup of cocoa or hot tea at lunch time. Let the winter holidays go - the cold still does not think to retreat. So this is the best time to create coziness and heart-to-heart conversations.

Holidays are parties and watching movies until the morning, and there are many not-so-healthy meals.

Remember that entertainment is good in moderation. If you endlessly have fun, then this will be boring. So gradually return to the normal end time - we remind you that it is better to fall asleep before midnight. Reduce junk food to a minimum. Add more vegetables and greens to the diet, fiber will help establish digestion.

Do not bother before going to bed and do not drink alcohol to get up in the morning.

Even if you miss projects and office fuss, you don’t need to “pounce” on your work. There is a risk of getting tired too quickly and losing a fuse. At the beginning of the year, determine the range of your tasks for the next month and quarter. Together with your colleagues, consider how you can optimize and simplify your workflow.

Discuss household matters - if the office has long lacked a coffee maker and cooler, it's time to get them. It is important to be comfortable and pleasant to all employees in the workspace.

After a vacation in comfortable pajamas, the idea of formal suits and heels is terrifying. Do not torture yourself and, if possible, choose comfortable clothes: loose trousers instead of jeans, oversized sweaters or sweatshirts instead of thin shirts in which you can freeze.

If in your office you can walk in slippers or comfortable sneakers, then it's time to use it.

Work is much easier when you know the time of the next vacation. While everyone is moving away from the New Year, buy tickets and book hotels for your next trip. In February and March, we have three days off. This is a great chance to fly on a mini-vacation to Europe or leave the city and take a break from the hustle and bustle.

On vacation or on May holidays, go where you have long dreamed of getting, but it still didn’t work out. Five months before the trip, it is likely to find profitable tickets even for long-distance flights.

Work until you lose consciousness, and then try to recover on vacation or on holidays - this is not the most useful habit. Rest a little every day.

Come up with a routine that will help you not to drown in work matters right after the New Year holidays. Make a list of activities that help you relax: massage session, evening with a book, hot bath, yoga lesson. If you often linger at work, find a spa and gym nearby to save time. Make a playlist to help you relax and tune in to your vacation. Regularly include items from the list in your schedule, and then for the next holidays you will come not too exhausted.
