8 ballet exercises that will make all muscles work

Barre is a classic ballet adapted for fitness training. Such training improves stretching, strengthens posture and works out the muscles of the whole body - even those that you were not aware of. The exercises are shown by the trainer of the Encore fitness club Valery Volkhin.

In all exercises, the stomach is tense. Remember to keep your back straight and pull the toe.

Number of repetitions individually: perform each exercise until you feel the load. For the last three exercises, take lightweight disks - up to one kilogram.

  1. Stand straight. Lift your right leg parallel to the floor. Hands are rounded and raised to chest level.

  2. Slowly move your right foot back. Leg slides in a circle. In this case, open your arms to the sides. The foot should remain straight.
  3. Return to the starting position in the same way.

  4. The same with the other foot.

  1. Stand straight. Bend the right leg and put it in front in an eversion position - the knee and toe are directed to the side. Tilt the housing slightly forward. Take your left foot back and place it on your toe.

    Raise the right hand to the face, and the left - to parallel with the floor.

  2. Raise your left leg while straining your buttocks. The right arm, body and left leg form one line.
  3. Return to the starting position.

  1. Stand straight.

    Legs in a wide second position: heels shoulder-width apart, feet divorced and standing in one line. Hands are parallel to the floor.

  2. Sit in the deep pli.
  3. Spring your buttocks. Tilt the body to the left at the same time and move your right hand to your right ear.

  4. Change the side. Continuing to spring with your buttocks, tilt the body to the right and bring your left hand to your left ear.

  1. Stand straight. Legs in third position: one leg is in front of the other, the heel of one leg is in contact with the middle of the foot of the other. Hands down and rounded.

  2. Get down in the semi-squat, slightly bending your knees.
  3. Jump to the half-fingers and at the same time spread the feet to the width of the pelvis.
  4. Return to the starting position.

  1. The initial position is same as in the previous exercise.
  2. Get down in the semi-squat, slightly bending your knees.

  3. Jump and swap legs at the top. Pull your socks in the air.
  4. Gently land from toe to heel.

  1. Stand straight. Take the discs.

    Legs in the first position: connect the heels, part the socks.

  2. Bend the right leg and put it in front in an eversion position - the knee and toe are directed to the side.
  3. Sit on your right foot. Tilt the housing forward. Raise your hands to your ears.

    The palms are directed to the floor. The shoulder blades are reduced.

  4. With your left foot, slide back and place it on your toe.
  5. Raise your left leg while straining your buttocks. Hands, body and left leg form one line.

  6. Return to the starting position.
  7. The same with the other foot.

  1. Stand straight. Take the discs. Legs in the fourth wide position: one leg is ahead of the other and the heel of one leg is opposite the toe of the other.

    Hands along the body. Palms pointing up.

  2. Bend the standing leg in front and point the knee and toe to the side (eversion position).
  3. Place your standing foot in front of your toe. Sit on your front leg.

    Tilt the housing forward. Hands behind the back, bringing the shoulder blades. The body and back standing leg form a single line.

  4. Return to the starting position.
  5. Same thing with the other foot.

  2. Take a seat in the plie. Keep your hands apart until they are parallel to the floor.

  3. Remaining in the pli, spring with the buttocks. Use your hands to draw small circles. The top of your head reach up.
